Who is Baron Jay ?
All of this positive energy synchronized in entrepreneurial endeavors, and public service. Inspired by his grandfather, Ervin Colston’s words, “You only learn in two ways: The first is reading and the other is by associating with smarter people”, Baron produced a series of books celebrating the contributions African Americans and Latinos have made to American society over the years with many more on other cultures in the pipeline. They are designed to induce pride and self- awareness in young readers.
He has shadowed real estate mogul and owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, Donald T. Sterling, to learn the nuts and bolts of property management and development. Presently, he is doing national commercials and voice overs for many fortune 500 companies. You have probably seen his face or heard is voice on commercials. He earned his MBA at the Keller Graduate School of Management January 2014 , in the evenings he is pursuing his Master of Public Administration. He is keeping his sights on his long-term business goals.
Baron Littleton balances out his business pursuits with an emphasis on civic leadership. He volunteers for Operation Hope’s “Banking on our Future” program, teaching financial literacy to grades 4 through 12. He is a mentor for the national “Children Uniting Nations” program, for foster children. Further, in 2009, he was awarded a certificate degree from the University of Southern California’s Passing the Mantle (PTM) Clergy and Lay Leadership Institute. The PTM’s focus is to “provide vision and practical training for the next generation of African American clergy and lay leaders …who are engaged in areas related to civic engagement and community development”. Baron will volunteer his time this year on a political campaign for a running Public Official.
